You must be Putin me on…

I have had some huge changes in my life recently so I am having to regroup and figure out a few things. There are things going on I won’t discuss, but suffice it to say that they are big changes. These things have been overwhelming forces in my existence since my previous post so there has really not been much to write about on this blog with all my energies going into dealing with these forces. Adding to the disruption, I also have not slept very well the last week and a half. Monday night’s slumbers brought on one epic dream… one of the strangest dreams I have ever had.

For some unknown and abstract reason I was hanging out with Vladimir Putin and his driver, sightseeing along the coast of some unknown (but absolutely beautiful) village and taking selfies with my iPhone. It was fun and funny, yet disgusting, just how much fun we were having. We were laughing and carrying on like best buds in a setting that looked like some little Mediterranean village. He was wading in the water giggling about the creatures he was seeing and touching. It would have been the perfect video for the music from “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father”. I told you it was bizarre.

I am not really sure what brought this dream to fruition – perhaps it was the vodka I drank that night. I really cannot think of any other dream after drinking vodka where I was hanging out with Russian dignitaries so that could most likely be eliminated. I have never met Vladimir, but maybe he reads this blog and would get a laugh out of hearing about this.

That’s all I have for now. It’s off to work on taking care of some business that needs dealt with. Not sure when the next post will be but check back! You can always look back through the previous posts as well.

Back to Civilization

Just things, Uncategorized

Well, I am now back to my version of reality. We got back late Tuesday night and I have hit the ground running. The job search has begun, unemployment has been filed for, the Mac has been updated, and I am ready to apply (and have been applying) for jobs.

For those of you who have looked at my blog from the beginning you would understand what I am saying. If not, this might be a good time to start at Day 1 of my blog so you will understand how I got to this point. If you don’t, then I will summarize with a sentence: this is really the first time in three years that I will be leading some semblance of a normal life – living in a house in a town and looking for gainful employment.

This might take some adjustment, but it will be fine. You have to understand that for the last six months I lived on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands in a tiny house and worked for Washington State Parks. Prior to that I lived on two separate National Wildlife Refuges over 2½ years. I have not really lived with much civilization during this time. Life has not really been what most of you would call “normal” by any stretch of the imagination, but I must say that it has been awesome! I saw my fair share of trials before I moved up here, but still there are no regrets over what has happened in the last three years – not counting my motorcycle wreck, of course. Many wonderful and exciting things have happened since I have moved up here to Washington.

As soon as I get time and get pictures downloaded I will be posting them as well as updating some info on pics I have posted recently. I just have not had time or my Mac to do the posts like I want to and usually do. Be sure to check back often!
